Appointment Cancellation & No-Show Policy

At My Milpitas Dentist, we strive to provide quality care to all of our patients. To ensure appointment times are available for those who need them, we ask that patients follow our scheduling and cancellation guidelines.

Appointment Confirmation

We request that all appointments be confirmed at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled appointment time. Patients may confirm their appointments by phone, text message, or email.

If we are unable to obtain confirmation at least 48 hours before the appointment, we reserve the right to release the appointment time to another patient in need of care.

Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, we kindly request a minimum of 48 hours' notice.

Providing adequate notice allows us to offer the appointment time to another patient and helps us maintain an efficient schedule for everyone.

No-Show Policy

A No-Show is defined as:

  • Missing a scheduled appointment without notice.
  • Canceling or rescheduling with less than 48 hours' notice.
  • Failing to arrive for a scheduled appointment.

Patients who fail to provide the required notice may be subject to a $50 No-Show fee. This fee is the patient's responsibility and cannot be billed to dental insurance.

Repeated Missed Appointments

To ensure fair access to care for all patients:

  • After two (2) missed appointments or late cancellations, a scheduling deposit of up to 100% of the estimated patient portion may be required to reserve future appointments.
  • After three (3) missed appointments or late cancellations, the patient may be dismissed from the practice and referred to another dental provider.

Late Arrival Policy

Patients arriving more than 10 minutes late may be asked to reschedule if there is insufficient time to complete the scheduled treatment safely and effectively. We encourage patients who are running late to call the office as soon as possible.

Consideration for Emergencies

We understand that emergencies and unforeseen circumstances can occur. Exceptions may be made at the discretion of the practice on a case-by-case basis.
